How It Works

Four stages, one continuous record

Land

Every field block and pasture is mapped and soil-tested before anything is sown or grazed.

Lineage

Animals are tagged within a day of birth. Breed, dam and herd group stay attached for life.

Production

Feed, irrigation, veterinary oversight and welfare checks are logged as they happen.

Product

A GS1-compatible identifier is printed on the pack. Scan it and the whole chain opens.

Welfare monitoring	Housing, stocking density, handling and body-condition scoring reviewed on a fixed cycle.
Responsible resource use	Irrigation cycles, energy and waste streams metered and reported farm by farm.
Batch documentation	No batch is released until its production record is complete and its identifier issued.
Independent certification	Third-party audit where it applies — and no badge on a pack that an audit does not support.
Claim substantiation	Terms such as grass-fed or hormone-free are used only where the record proves them.

How do I trace a SHAJRA product?

Find the batch code printed beside the QR mark on the pack, enter it in the box on this page, and the full record opens — farm of origin, animal or field block, production history, processing and packing dates.

What information does a trace record show?

Product or batch identity, farm of origin, production location, relevant dates, animal or field-block information, a feed or input summary, veterinary or quality-control status, certifications, and supply-chain milestones.

Why do you use GS1-compatible codes?

GS1 is the standard the rest of the supply chain already reads. A proprietary scheme would have been quicker to build and useless to everyone downstream — distributors, retailers and auditors can work with GS1 identifiers directly.

Is any information withheld?

Yes. Records are public in the fields that matter to a buyer. Commercial terms, employee details and farm-security information are withheld, in line with sensible practice for publishing supply-chain data.
